Odisha Sangeet Natak Akademi under the aegis of Deptt. of Culture, Govt. of Odisha organised the “BHARATIYAM”, a patriotic song on 26th January,2016 at Rabindra Mandap, Bhubaneswar. To celebrate the Republic Day on 26th January,2016 and to awaken a sense of patriotism among the younger generation as well as to safeguard the cultural unity, integrity and sovereignty of our mother land. The programme will be presented under the direction and guidance of renowned musician & singer Biebhukishore (Sri Tapas Kumar Das) involving eminent singers Sri Mahaprasad Kar, Smt. Pratimarani Panda, Sri Susanta Pani, Mrs. Soma Karmakar,Sri Bishnu Charan Nayak (Saurav), Mrs. Anindita Das, Mrs. Jhumuki Rath, Mrs. Nazia Alam, Smt. Harapriya Swain,Sri Bandish Palit.

Odisha Sangeet Natak Akademi under the aegis of Deptt. of Culture, Govt. of Odisha organised “State level Folk Dance & Music Festival”on the open air stage in the premises of Rabindra Mandap from 7th to 12th Feb.,2016 at 4.30 P.M. & 6.30 P.M.. The talented folk Institutes of Odisha were presented their folk dance and music on the festival.

National School of Drama, New Delhi in collaboration with Odisha Sangeet Natak Akademi Deptt. of Culture, Govt. of Odisha organised “International Theatre Festival” (18th Bhrat Ranga Mahotsav) at Rabindra Mandap, Bhubaneswar from 7th to 12th Feb.,2016. The Nationally and Internationally reputed theatre groups from different parts of India participated in this Festival. Maheswar Rao, Cuttack (Hindustani Classical Vocal), Niveditha Parthasarathy, Chennai (Bharatnatyam) and Goutam Ghosal, Kolkata (Kathakali).

The Odisha Sangeet Natak Akademi under the aegis of Deptt. of Culture, Govt. of Odisha in association with District Council of Culture, Bhadrak organised “Sugam Sangeet Samaroh” on 27th & 28th February,2016 in the Town Hall, Bhadrak. Eminent singers of the state 27.02.2016 : Subash Dash, Manmatha Mishra, Sailabhama Mahapatra, Sangeeta Mishra, Debashis Mahapatra, Abhijeet Mishra, Sumati Panda, 28.02.2016 : Lakshmikant Palit, Sekhar Chandra Ghosh, Adyasha Das, Bibudhendra Das, Antara Chakrabarty, Subhashis Nayak, Rudramadhab Barik were presented popular songs. The Hon’ble Minister, Tourism & Culture, Odisha inaugurated the function and a number of dignitaries were expected to attend the function.

State-level Theatre Festival from 4th to 8th March,2016 at Bhanja Kala Mandap, Bhubaneswar.

The Odisha Sangeet Natak Akademi under the aegis of Deptt. of Culture, Govt. of Odisha organised Statelevel Theatre Festival from 4th to 8th March, 2016 at Bhanja Kala Mandap, Bhubaneswar. The festival will showcase the buding talents in the field of drama which has been the constant source of inspiration to us and contributed a great extent towards cultural development of Odisha in general. The number of dignitaries are expected to attend the function. The reputed theatre groups of the state participated in this Festival. Thy were : 04.03.2016 : Theatre Marathan, Cuttack, 05.03.2016 : Natraj Sanskrutik Anusthan, Bhadrak, 06.03.2016 : Sri Cultural Association, Sambalpur, 07.03.2016 : Creative Arts, Gajapati and 08.03.2016 : Kalahandi Kalakar Sangha, Kalahandi.

Dangar Nach (Tribal Dance & Music) Festival from 12th to 814th March,2016 at Permanji,
Thuamul Rampur, Kalahandi.

Odisha Sangeet Natak Akademi under the aegis of the Deptt. of Culture, Govt. of Odisha in association with District Council of Culture, Kalahandi & in collaboration with SUBHAM, Thuamul Rampur organised ‘Dangar Nach’ a Festival of Tribal dance and music from 12th to 14th March,2016. About 350 Tribal Artistes will present their dance and music on different days.

March,2016 at Bhanja Mandap, Kulada.
